Research Interests:

My current research focuses on the use of isotope geochemistry and mineralogy as tools for interpreting records of environmental change in Antarctica's McMurdo Dry Valleys since the Last Glacial Maximum. The dry valleys environment highlights a history of lake level fluctuations as a result of climatic changes since the Last Glacial Maximum. Carbonates in ice-covered lakes offer an opportunity to study the dynamics of precipitation in these settings and inform our interpretations of paleolake deposits in the region.
