Dr. Wishard teaches the introductory geology (GEOL 1110/L) and environmental science (ENVS 1130/L) lectures and labs, and serves on the departmental Undergraduate and Curriculum committees. She has a strong interest in undergraduate STEM education, curriculum development, and hands-on, place-based teaching practices. She takes a data-driven approach to teaching and employs active learning techniques in every course she teaches. Dr. Wishard enjoys working with majors and non-majors alike, as well as students in all stages of their academic journey. She is a member of the UNM SCIENCE Collaborative, and enjoys working with educators across campus to improve STEM education for all UNM students.
