My interests involve volcano/climate interactions. I am currently looking at solid/gas interactions in volcanic conduit and the effect of those interactions on the chemistry of high-temperature gases emitted from volcanoes.I do this using combinations of direct gas samples, thermodynamic models, and petrologic measurements.  I am also president of UNM United Graduate Workers.
