Up for something new this summer? Apply to join this summer research program where you'll learn about Earth science data analysis, high-performance computing, and careers in Earth & environmental science. 

The 2-week program will introduce participants to Earth science data analysis and careers in a fun, inclusive, collaborative environment. 

 Topics to be covered:

  • Earth science data analysis
  • Field collection of spatial data
  • Use of High-Performance Computing clusters
  • How to plan a career in Earth & environmental science

Student applicants from historically underrepresented groups in the STEM fields and the geosciences are encouraged to apply. 

 Financial support: Depending on the number of applicants, we expect to offer each participant a stipend for participation in the program. Other perks include meals, local field trips and opportunities to learn about undergraduate research with UNM professors.
